Mexico’s political parties: what each one proposes for 2027

Deciding who to vote for starts with knowing what each party proposes beyond the headlines. Here are the 8 parties in the test: where they come from, who leads them, whether they are in government or in opposition, and what they stand for.

Each profile sets out the party's position question by question, with the reasoning and, where there is one, a link to the source. It is based on electoral platforms, the party's founding documents (declaration of principles and program of action), how its group votes in the Chamber of Deputies and public statements. It is the same database our political match test uses; see the full methodology to find out how it is put together.
