Tabasco, from 2024 to 2027
In 2024 Tabasco gave Morena its highest share anywhere in the federal deputy race: 65.0% of the valid vote. It did so without a coalition: in all six districts, Morena, the PT and the Greens each ran their own candidates, and Morena still won all six, with a lead that never dropped below 43.2 points. Add the three parties together and the result is 78.2%: no other state gave that bloc as much.
Second place in votes was not the usual one either. It went to the PRD, with 7.9%, its best figure in any state, in the very election that cost it its national registration, ahead of Movimiento Ciudadano (7.8%), the Greens (7.0%) and the PT (6.1%). The PRI and the PAN had their lowest shares in the country here, 3.6% and 2.5%. Fuerza y Corazón por México finished second in five districts, and Movimiento Ciudadano in district 6, seated in Centro. Turnout was 61.1%, and 6.3% of ballots were annulled, a rate only Chiapas exceeded.
No governorship is at stake in Tabasco in 2027: the local ballots are for 35 congressional seats and 17 municipal governments, on top of six federal deputies. The Paraíso district (5) is classified as Indigenous. With the PRD off the federal ballot, the vote it gathered in 2024, the state's second largest, will no longer carry that emblem.
