Quintana Roo, from 2024 to 2027
Quintana Roo is the only state that votes on southeast time (UTC−5): on June 6, 2027, its polling stations will open an hour before those in Mexico City and two hours before those in Sonora. That day, along with four federal deputies, it chooses its governor, its state congress and 11 municipal councils, and it is one of six states with a governorship at stake where there is no vote from abroad for that office.
In the 2024 federal deputy race the Greens were the second force here, with 17.9% of the valid vote, one of their three best results in the country, behind Morena's 48.3%. The PAN gathered 12.2% and Movimiento Ciudadano 9.6%; the PRI, at 5.4%, trailed both of them and the Greens. Combined, the three parties of Morena's coalition reached 70.5%, the fourth-highest share among the 32 states; the PRD, which ceased to be a national party after that election, stood at 2.3%.
All four districts went to Morena or its coalition. In district 3, which shares its seat with district 4 in Benito Juárez, the municipality of Cancún, Morena ran without its allies and won by 32.0 points over the PVEM's own candidate. In district 2, based in Othón P. Blanco and classified as Indigenous, the runner-up was Movimiento Ciudadano, and in district 1, seated in Playa del Carmen, Fuerza y Corazón por México. Turnout was 56.0%, 4.5 points below the national figure.
