Querétaro, from 2024 to 2027

Querétaro produced the tightest bloc tie in the country in 2024: the Fuerza y Corazón por México parties added up to 46.7% of the valid vote and those of Sigamos Haciendo Historia 46.5%, less than half a point apart. By party, the PAN came first with 38.2%, making Querétaro one of three states where it outpolled Morena, which took 36.8%. Far behind were the PRI, with 7.0%, Movimiento Ciudadano, with 6.8%, and the Greens, with 6.5%; the PT's 3.1% was one of its weakest results anywhere.

The six districts were split evenly. Sigamos Haciendo Historia won Cadereyta de Montes (1), San Juan del Río (2) and district 6, seated in the capital; Fuerza y Corazón por México took the other two in the city of Querétaro (3 and 4) and Pedro Escobedo (5), the latter by 2.3 points. In districts 3 and 4 Morena did not run in coalition with the PT and the PVEM and came second with its own candidate. Nine states had higher turnout than Querétaro, where 62.4% of the roll voted, 1.9 points above the national rate.

In 2027 Querétaro voters pick a governor, a new state congress and 18 municipal councils, and those living outside the country may also vote in the governor's race. Its electoral roll held 2,011,541 people in October 2026. It heads into the election after an exact split of districts and two alliances separated by a few tenths of a point; which coalitions register this time is not yet known.
