Morelos, from 2024 to 2027

In Morelos the PRI finished sixth in the 2024 federal deputy race, behind not only Morena and the PAN but also Movimiento Ciudadano, the PVEM and the PT. Its 7.1% of the valid vote was far from Morena's 42.6% and the PAN's 15.3%. Movimiento Ciudadano gathered 13.2%, its seventh-best result in the country; behind it came the Greens, with 10.4%, and the PT, with 8.3%. The PRD's 3.1% here, above its national average, was not enough to keep its registration.

Sigamos Haciendo Historia won all five districts. The most contested was district 1, seated in Cuernavaca, where Sigamos Haciendo Historia finished 9.8 points ahead of Fuerza y Corazón por México; at the other end, in Jojutla (4), the gap reached 56.1. Combined, the coalition's three partners gathered 61.3%, more than twice the 25.5% of the PAN, PRI and PRD. Turnout reached 63.0%, 2.5 points above the national rate, and spoiled ballots accounted for 4.1% of the total.

Morelos chooses no governor in 2027. It renews the smallest state congress on that day's ballot, with 20 seats, and 33 municipal councils, along with its five federal seats. Cuernavaca, the capital, was the only federal district in the state decided by less than ten points in 2024, and the 2027 federal ballot will include two parties that did not compete then, SOMOS and PAZ, while the PRD will be gone.
