Chihuahua, from 2024 to 2027
Chihuahua split in two in the 2024 federal deputy race. The four districts seated in Juárez went to Sigamos Haciendo Historia, three of them by margins between 59.9 and 70.1 points. The rest of the state leaned the other way or came out nearly even: Fuerza y Corazón por México won Delicias (5), both districts of the capital (6 and 8) and Hidalgo del Parral (9), the latter by only 0.7 points, while Sigamos Haciendo Historia held Cuauhtémoc (7) by 3.0. The final tally was five districts to four.
In votes, the gap was wider than that count suggests. Morena drew 42.8% of the valid vote, while the PAN's 25.9% was its seventh-best share in the country. The PRI added 10.9% and Movimiento Ciudadano 8.8%, while the PVEM, PT and PRD each stayed under 6%. Turnout was lower only in Baja California and Sonora: in Chihuahua, ballots cast equaled 52.7% of the electoral roll, 7.8 points less than in the country as a whole.
In 2027 the state elects a governor, with voting from abroad, along with its 33-seat congress and 67 municipal councils. The nine federal districts keep their 2024 boundaries, so Parral, the capital and Cuauhtémoc vote again on the same map that saw them decided by three points or less. The electoral roll listed 3,207,498 people in October 2026.
