Who to vote for?

Who should I vote for on 6 June 2027? An honest way to decide

By Fadrique Garcia Font ·

Let us be clear first: we will not tell you who to vote for. Nobody should. What we can do is help you compare your views (your own, not those of the people around you or the latest headline) with what each party really stands for, issue by issue.

The diagnosis

The problem with choosing by headlines

Political debate focuses on three or four controversies of the day, but the Chamber of Deputies decides on dozens of areas that affect your life: the federal budget, your taxes, the healthcare you use, social programs, security. It is perfectly possible to agree with a party on the issue everyone is talking about and disagree with it on almost everything else, without knowing it.

The method

A better way: compare issue by issue

  1. 1

Work out what matters to you. Security? Wages? Healthcare? Energy? See what each party thinks on the 12 big issues.

  2. 2

Compare your positions with theirs. Our match test does it for you: 45 questions against the documented positions of 8 parties, with a match percentage for each issue.

  3. 3

Look at the whole picture, not just the “winner”. The result shows your match with every party: sometimes the gap between the first and the second is two points, and that is information too.

  4. 4

Decide for yourself. Voting is more than matching views: candidates and track records count too. On 6 June 2027 you vote for a party, in a single round: the same vote elects the deputy for your district and counts for that party’s proportional representation list. Even when parties run in a coalition, each one has its own emblem on the ballot. The test is a compass, not an oracle.

Check what you already believe

What if I already know who I will vote for?

Even better: check it. One of the most useful things about the test is finding out on which issues you do not agree with the party you planned to vote for, or which party you agree with more than you thought. At the end, the test asks, if you wish, which party you would vote for and shows you where you disagree with it; that answer is never published. Look, for example, at what each party proposes question by question, or read how the test works before you start. Dates, how to vote and how the seats are shared out are in the guide to the 2027 election.
