Territory

Average position on the issues by state

Average position on the compass (economic axis: −100 left ↔ +100 right; social axis: −100 progressive ↔ +100 conservative), calculated only from the answers to the statements, of participants in each of Mexico’s 32 states (the 31 states and Mexico City), based on the approximate location of their connection. Mexicans living abroad cannot be told apart by their connection and are not included. Only states with at least 100 tests. The compass does not take into account the questions on topics that fit neither of its axes.

No state has reached 100 tests yet.

This barometer is not an opinion poll or a survey of electoral preferences: it does not ask how people will vote and publishes nothing by party. It brings together the anonymous answers of the people who chose to take the test, so it is not representative and does not offer the methodological guarantees of a poll.

Statement by statement

How many people agree with each statement

Share of answers in favor (agree or strongly agree), neutral and against (disagree or strongly disagree) for each statement in the test, from completed tests. Choose a state to see only the participants who connected from there. Each figure is published only with at least 100 answers.

No statement has reached 100 answers yet.

Polarisation

The most divisive issues

Polarisation index: how spread out users’ answers are on each issue (0 = everyone answers the same; 100 = maximum split between the extremes). Calculated from all answers received to the test’s current questions, including those from unfinished tests.
