• Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4 (Ireland): the Gmail mailbox where we read and answer the email sent to the contact address.

3. Purpose of the website

Afinidad Política is an informative and educational website, with no registration, that offers a test to find out how closely your views match the political parties in Mexico’s federal election to the Chamber of Deputies on 6 June 2027, along with information about their positions and about how the result is calculated. It carries no advertising and does not accept donations.

4. Corrections and replies

Any party or person named or referred to on this website who considers that something about them is inaccurate can ask us to correct it. Write to contacto@afinidadpolitica.mx, with “Correction” in the subject line, stating the page and the passage concerned and, if possible, the document that supports the correction.

We review every request against the source. If the information is wrong, we correct it and record the change in the revision log on the methodology page. We reply in every case, explaining what we have done and why.

All content on the website, including texts, images, graphic design, source code, logos and other elements, is the property of the site owner or is used with due authorization.

Reproduction, distribution or transformation of this content without express authorization is prohibited, except for personal and private use.

The test questionnaire (the selection, order and wording of its questions and explanations), the bank of tie-break questions, the texts and analyses, and the database of party positions (each position with its justification and source) are the original work of the site owner. In Mexico, the questionnaire and the database are protected as compilations by Article 107 of the LFDA, because of the selection and arrangement of their content. Producing them has required a substantial investment in finding, cross-checking and verifying platforms, votes and statements, so they are also protected by copyright and by the sui generis right of database producers under Spanish law (Articles 12 and 133 to 137 of the Spanish Intellectual Property Act) and Directive 96/9/EC.

Extracting or re-using all or a substantial part of that content, or repeatedly and systematically extracting insubstantial parts of it, by any means (including automated download or scraping tools), and in particular using it to build other tests, comparison tools or similar services, is prohibited without written permission. Short quotations of individual questions or positions are allowed for comment or analysis, citing the source with a link.

Each edition of the questionnaire and the positions is kept dated and time-stamped as proof of its authorship and date.

The aggregated data and analyses we publish may be freely cited and reproduced provided the source is credited (Afinidad Política, with a link to https://afinidadpolitica.mx).

Quotations from election platforms, founding documents and other texts of the parties are short and verbatim, in quotation marks and with their source, as allowed by Article 148 of the LFDA. We never reproduce those documents in full: each sourced position links to the original.

The names, acronyms, emblems and colors of the political parties belong to their respective owners and are used for information purposes only, to identify each party. The website does not use photographs of candidates or party leaders.

6. Liability

6.1. About the test results

The test results are for guidance only and are based on each party’s documented position. The site owner:

• Does not guarantee the absolute accuracy of the results
• Is not responsible for any decisions users make based on those results
• Recommends checking the information against the parties’ official sources and the information published by the INE

6.2. About the operation of the site

The site owner does not guarantee that the service will be permanently available and will not be liable for:

• Service interruptions due to maintenance or technical reasons
• Damage caused by viruses or other harmful elements
• Misuse of the platform by users

7. External links

This site may contain links to third-party websites (political parties, the INE, media outlets, etc.). The site owner is not responsible for the content of those external pages.

8. Political neutrality and independence

This website maintains strict political neutrality:

• It does not promote or favor any political party, coalition or candidate
• It never asks anyone to vote, or not to vote, for anyone, and it does not call for abstention. Under Article 33 of the Mexican Constitution, a foreign national may not interfere in Mexico’s political affairs; the publisher, who lives in Spain, therefore limits the website to information
• The test questions are worded neutrally
• The calculation algorithms treat all parties equally
• It is not an opinion poll or survey: it does not publish voting preferences, and the aggregated data it publishes concern only the topics of the test
• No advertising, sponsorship or donations are accepted from political parties, candidates or campaigns, and no commissioned report, whoever asks for it, changes the test or its results

9. Terms of use

By using this website, the user agrees to:

• Use the platform lawfully and in good faith
• Not carry out any action that could damage, disable or overload the site
• Not attempt to access restricted areas or tamper with the systems
• Not use the results for defamatory or manipulative purposes, or present them as an opinion poll or as a voting recommendation

10. Applicable law

This legal notice is governed by Spanish law and European Union law, without prejudice to the mandatory rules of the user’s country of residence; in Mexico, among others, the rights granted by the Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties and the Federal Consumer Protection Law. If the user acts as a consumer, the courts of their place of residence shall have jurisdiction.

The site owner reserves the right to amend this legal notice to adapt it to new legislation or to changes in the site’s activity.
